Sacred Heart School of Theology Summary

Sacred Heart School of Theology (SHST), an apostolate of the Priests of the Sacred Heart, is a national Roman Catholic seminary that prepares men with second-career (adult) vocations for priesthood. It is accredited by The Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada and the Higher Learning Commission, a Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It awards a Master of Divinity degree and a Master of Arts in theology degree (available to religious and lay men and women.) A Bachelor of Arts/Master of Divinity program allows those without an undergraduate degree to obtain both a bachelor's degree and master's degree in 51/2 to 6 years. Sacred Heart offers opportunities in Hispanic studies and English as a second language. It also offers continuing education programs. Enrollment has consistently been between 105 and 115 seminarians sponsored by dioceses throughout the US, Canada and other foreign countries and religious communities.
